Blog Jobs
A quick scan of the major cities listed on Craigslist brings forth a healthy list of jobs for bloggers - here are just a few from this week:
*ITGumbo, a new blog network from the leading IT Website ebizQ.net, is looking for passionate bloggers to simmer a spicy mix of technology news and opinions.
*Curbed, the popular blog network, is hiring in San Francisco, for both Curbed SF and our upcoming restaurant and nightlife blog, Eater SF.
*Seeking P/T Freelance Blogger who is knowledgeable in the technical arena.
*Ditavi is a Chicago based company that has traditionally provided services mainly related to multi-media design and development and we’re preparing to broaden our span with the launch of a new blog site, and we’re looking for writers.
Tip: to find even more blog-related jobs, and find them quickly, simply open the Craigslist major city listing of your choice, click 'jobs' at the top of the page, and then search for keywords, 'blogging,' 'blogger,' 'blog.' All results matching your criteria will be returned to you in one fell swoop - no need to scan the entire list or search by subcategory.
Do the same for the 'gigs' section (listed just below 'jobs' on the same page) as many indie companies will post their needs here.
In the meantime, we'll keep highlighting the best for you right here.
If you know of a great paid blogging opportunity and would like to see it published here in the Bloggapedia Blog, feel free to send us the details via our contact link at the bottom of the page.
Happy (paid!) blogging!

The Wall Street Journal has released a profile on blogging as a career - with notes on everything from pay, hours, benefits, and career path.
From the article:
From the article:
"BEST PART OF THE JOB: 'I can work in my pajamas and set my own hours,' says Joel Cheesman, author of Cheezhead.com, a blog about the recruiting industry. Notes Mr. Layne, who has worked at Wonkette for two years and generally acts as his own editor: 'I get to be a national political columnist and comedy writer.'
WORST PART OF THE JOB: 'I have no life,' Mr. Lavandeira says. 'I am always working, and I can never take a vacation.' Adds Jeff Jarvis, who blogs at BuzzMachine.com, a site on news and the media: 'Blogging is an obsession. The guilt that piles up when I'm too busy to write a post is the worst.'"
